Three best locations for Engagement Photos in Arizona

Deciding on where to plan your engagement photos can be a daunting task. You want to make sure you pick the perfect location that will showcase you relationship and make a beautiful backdrop too. As a wedding and engagement photographer, who is located in Arizona, I have put together a list of the top THREE places in Arizona!

White Tanks Region Park

The white tanks regional park is one of my favorite locations to photograph couples for engagement photos. The desert scenery inside the white tanks is unmatched by any surrounding desert. The mountains create a stunning backdrop and if you are lucky, you may even be able to take your pictures when the waterfall is actually running!! Which is usually after a heavy rain. The location of the mountains and sunset allow for some of the best lighting too! I always recommend this location to any of my couples seeking a gorgeous desert scenery.

Estrella Tower

Located West of Phoenix, The Estrella Tower is an astronomy-themed, 50-foot high, spiraling monument covered with illuminated stars at night. During the peek of golden hour it has the perfect backdrop of romantic couples portraits near running water. If you’re even daring enough, it is a location where you can actually get in the water too! The water isn’t “swimming” level of deep, but you can expect to get your feet wet.

Verrado Driving Range

If you are looking for greenery, a rustic gate, and short stone wall, look no further! The Verrado driving range has a beautiful little corner that is off to the side of the driving range. I recommend shooting after hours for the golf range to avoid any possible flying balls, although the location is far enough away from the golfers, there has yet to have been an issue in the many years that photographers have used this spot.
